Verena’s exceptional friendly and dedicated approach to real estate is
hard to come by. About a year ago I started my search for a house in
Chicago. As an artist moving from California, I had a lot of special
needs and a tight budget. Verena listened carefully and recognized
my individual concerns. She immediately realized that since I was
moving from out of state, the most important thing was getting me
familiar with Chicago and its many unique neighborhoods. In
conjunction with my house search, Verena spent countless hours driving
all over Chicago to show me around; telling me everything she knew about
neighborhoods and answering all of my questions.
I made several trips to Chicago during my house search and each trip
Verena was prepared. Weeks prior to my arrival Verena regularly emailed
me with prospective properties and personally previewed properties prior
to my arrival to see if they met my needs and would allow for the
space and equipment that I used in my artwork. With most properties
prescreened prior to my arrival, my trips were efficient and
extremely productive.
I will never forget the phone call I received from Verena shortly after returning from a trip to Chicago. “Do you trust me, I think I have found the house for you,” and sure enough she had. A coach house, with a basement for my ceramics studio and space upstairs for me to paint, located in the heart of Wicker Park. Verena emailed numerous pictures and floor plans. I jumped on a plane to Chicago and sure enough Verena had found the house with everything I wanted and needed, and within my budget!
In the past I have
worked with many real estate agents and Verena has risen above
them all. She has proven to be thorough, dedicated,
hard working and most importantly patient. I would
enthusiastically recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home and
would not hesitate to work with her again in the future.

We have known Verena personally for many years and when we decided to sell our
home she was our first choice because we knew that she would be up-front
with us and not treat us like clients. Even with the tough
competition she worked hard to bring in people and follow-up to find out
things we could do to improve our home and make our home more appealing
to the buyer. It was always easy to get a hold of her and
she stayed in close touch. When we found a buyer and sold the
home, she made sure everything went smoothly and there were no
surprises.
She was also very patient with us, when looking for a home and was able to
moderate between our different tastes. It took us quite a while to
find our home, but she was willing to go the distance to the end.

first time home seller, I was pleased to see how smooth the process
could go. I had considered selling For Sale By Owner however after
